As our Project Delivery Coordinator, you’ll work closely with multiple teams across our organization to coordinate related tasks in the development of our energy systems, which include various low-carbon energy systems using state of the art technology. You’ll put our organization prowess to good work while bringing your ability to communicate and partner with external and internal stakeholders on a daily basis.
 

In this role, you will:

  • Establish and/or support implementation of processes and procedures in relation to the project delivery of FAES projects.
  • Work directly with the procurement group and coordinate work in relation to tendering and award of contracts to consultants and contractors.
  • Work closely with both internal and external system operators, to prioritize work and allocate resources for special projects and emergency response activities.
  • Act as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders when required. Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, contractors, internal stakeholders, and other departments.
  • Demonstrate leadership and act as key resource to contractors and respond to questions, explain technical requirements, validate work according to scope of work standards to maintain quality.
  • Acquire a general understanding of the energy systems.
  • Manage account set-up, and service requests for the service providers such as BC Hydro, FortisBC (Gas), Shaw, QMC, etc.
  • Update and maintain the filing system.

What it takes:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in project management, construction management, engineering, business, or related field from an accredited post-secondary institution. 
  • Minimum of four (4) years experience in relation to project and construction management
  • Project Management Professional certificate (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) will be considered as asset.
  • Valid BC Driver’s License
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skillset
  • Analytical with an ability to problem-solve
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • A team player who builds strong partnerships through collaboration
  • Strong communication skills

In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
