Position Overview
As our Construction Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering and completing capital projects using your construction management expertise. You’ll also work with multiple teams to help identify key resources on any given project while providing direction to meet project objectives. Most importantly, safety is always a priority as you strive to meet deliverables and ensure every employee remains safe.
In this role, you will:
- Work to deliver projects efficiently and safety.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure the scope and progress of projects are on track.
- Compile accurate construction estimates and provide detailed projects plans.
- Identify hazards and implement mitigation plans to reduce risk.

Work with business units to support accounts payable and business process-related tasks.
In year 1, you will:
- Manage the delivery of diverse projects.
- Collaborate and build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders across the company.
- Enhance and maintain safety measures during the execution of projects.
In year 2, you will:
- Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes.
- Manage projects to exceed targets for reliability.
- Build relationships and foster strong, transparent partnerships with stakeholders.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service throughout all interactions and deliverables.
What it takes:
- A university degree with a minimum of 3-5 years supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education (trade/technologist certification), training and experience, with supplementary education in project management, finance or accounting.
- Electrical utility (substation, transmission and distribution and generation) experience in project construction.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, SAP and Primavera scheduling software.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Superior communication skills and a collaborative approach.
