With your strong attention to detail, you’re familiar with taking on detailed analysis, technical documentation, and regulatory writing.

As one of BC’s Top Employers, we’re looking for someone who knows how to mentor teams and people to their best selves. If this sounds like you, join us in transforming B.C.’s energy future.

In this role, you will:

  • Use hydraulic simulations to address operational challenges or emergencies and respond to requests for information with support from other department members.
  • Acquire necessary training and establish a development plan for future training needs, particularly around group-specific systems, software, processes, and personnel.
  • Develop an introductory knowledge of ongoing facility applications and the regulatory framework, while gaining an understanding of our service areas, customer base and service offerings.
  • Support the regulatory process through providing input to applications or information requests.

What it takes:

  • It takes a bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized program.
  • Eight years of experience in Pipeline System Design or Operations, including experience in hydraulic modelling of gas distribution and transmission systems would be considered an asset.
  • Current or potential eligibility for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists of BC (EGBC).
  • An appetite for growth, learning and improvement to become well-versed in providing technical mentorship.
