We’re looking for new talent to join us as we reinvent the future of energy. Across BC, we have a diverse team of more than 2,500 employees we can’t do without, yet we’re growing as fast as ever.

If you like meaningful work, a dynamic environment and forward-thinking colleagues, build your career with us. You’ll get opportunities to grow, lead, solve, and create. So what are you waiting for? Let’s rethink energy together.

Position Overview

You are action-oriented with a keen eye for detail, system design and process improvement. Paired with your gas industry experience, you can bridge the gap between design and operations. You understand the importance of coordinating your efforts with operations crews to ensure your solutions optimize safety and efficiency when put into practice. Your expertise and skillset are just what we need as our Senior Process Engineer – LNG Operations.

As part of our Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Engineering department, you’ll act as a technical expert for our Tilbury LNG Plant to ensure that our LNG process operates safely, effectively and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include assisting our Operations teams with troubleshooting operational issues and providing support to various projects.

We’ve solidified our commitment to sustainability with our 30BY30 promise to reduce our customer’s emissions by 30 per cent by the year 2030. LNG plays a critical role in achieving this goal, and we know you can help us get there as we continue to serve our customers safely and reliably.

Join us in rethinking our energy future.

In year 1, you will:

  • Collaborate with Operations and provide timely solutions to ensure our LNG production is achieved.
  • Manage all ongoing operational improvement requirements.
  • Identify gaps in the facility design, and propose projects with appropriate process solutions.
  • Update operating procedures in partnership with Operations.

In year 2, you will:

  • Simplify processes with Operations to implement continuous improvements.
  • Continue to support and implement innovative projects at our Tilbury LNG Plant.
  • Assist our Major Projects groups with operational inputs and propose design solutions.

What it takes:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a Canadian Professional Engineer certification.
  • Experience in process design and the execution of major gas projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting process issues and implementing solutions; experience in LNG or similar liquefaction process is an asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of Interface industry codes, standards, and best practices to meet appropriate safety requirements.
  • A demonstrated ability to support the Operations team with work related to operating manuals, procedures, discipline drawings, management of change processes, and engaging contractors and vendors.
