Position Overview

You have the technical prowess to create air-tight security solutions for even the most complex problems. Even better, you thoroughly understand compliance standards and ensure your solutions meet business requirements. You know how to utilize data to continuously innovate and learn new methods to serve end users better with each project you complete. We're looking for someone like you to be our Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) Security Lead.

In this role, you'll be responsible for addressing daily end-user tickets, issues and audit requirements. You'll also support our SAP systems and assist with ongoing user access reviews.

We're committed to building a greener future in which we reduce our customers' emissions. We need collaborators, innovators and leaders like you to help us achieve our goal. Join us in re-thinking our energy future.

In this role, you will:

  • Familiarize yourself with FortisBC procedures, audit processes and SAP landscape, and build relationships with our employee end-user community.
  • Help define forward-thinking improvements to align with security compliance and controls.
  • Implement solutions and ensure they're thoroughly tested and documented.
  • Become more involved with audit requirements and SAP projects.
  • Lead projects, such as SAP security design, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, and report on existing and new technologies.
  • Conduct technical research, analyze data and work with internal and external resources to resolve complex and technical security issues.

What you need to know:

  • Prior to the interview, Talent Acquisition will conduct a full employee general record review. This will include but is not limited to sick leave and attendance records, personnel file review and letters on file.

In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.

Our engaging workplace offers a wide range of challenging opportunities, while being safe, inclusive and diverse. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, while supporting life-long career development. We also encourage volunteerism and nourish the need to give back to your community.
