Position Overview

Your detail-oriented and analytical mindset complements your organizational skills to capture varied data sets, craft thorough and accurate reports, and manage compliant and successful energy programs.
As the Renewable Gas Compliance and Reporting Lead, you’ll be responsible for supporting project compliance and regulatory reporting activities for the Renewable Gas group and play a pivotal role in bridging information to essential stakeholders to support strategic and operational decision-making. You’ll also maintain the systems, structures, and processes required to successfully execute the Company’s renewable gas supply projects.

In this role, you will:
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders while developing a thorough understanding of the Renewable Gas project portfolio, contract structures, reporting requirements, and processes.
- Increase understanding of carbon intensity calculations and reporting tools to support renewable gas project development and reporting functions.
- Support renewable gas reporting requirements through data management, attending site visits, and maintaining supplier audit schedules.
- Assist in completing reports for various areas including Regulatory, Sustainability, and existing supply project performance.
- Collaborate with other business units, including Public Policy and Government Relations, Sustainability, Finance, and Regulatory to understand how a changing operating environment may impact business needs.
- Work with consultants to support the execution of business goals.
What it takes:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration or an equivalent mix of engineering, project development, and contract management experience culminating in a minimum of six years of related work experience.
- Proven working knowledge of greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting, performing mass and energy balance analysis, verification to ensure compliance with regulations is considered a strong asset.
- Working knowledge of energy legislation and regulatory requirements, processes, principles, and constructs is considered an asset.
- Proactive attitude combined with strong interest in performing a wide range of different analysis of technical and non-technical nature
- Advanced communications skills to deliver detailed reports and establish strong relationships with external partners and other business units.
- Strong leadership skills complemented by solid communication and analytical abilities.

In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
