Position Overview

Do you love taking ideas and bringing them to life into an executable project plan? Are your organizational and multi-tasking skills off the charts? Are you a leader that can bring together any team to complete a project on time and within budget?

 

As the province’s largest energy provider with more than 100 years of knowledge and experience, we proudly deliver renewable energy, natural gas, electricity and propane to 1.3 million customers.

 

As the Project Manager, Facilities, you will work with business units and assemble teams to bring project ideas to life. Working with our Facilities department, you will work on projects impacting all our offices, warehouses and yard space for our organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with business units and the facilities team to complete a project from beginning to end
  • Define project scopes and budgets while liaising with your client groups
  • Be responsible for developing project plans, budgets and managing costs
  • Develop strong working relationships through collaboration and open communication 
  • Manage team members through coaching, mentoring and training to complete projects  
  • Build strong relationships with various business groups to develop processes and tools 
  • Assist in the implementation of the Facilities 10-year capital plan

What it takes:

  • Bachelor Degree in a related field or Skill Trades Certificate Preferred PMP Designation preferred.
  • 4 to 7 years of experience managing complex projects
  • Knowledge about WSBC OH&S Regulation of Multiple Employer Workplaces (requirement)
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate clearly and concisely
  • Understanding of various building systems and functions
  • Strong writing skills

  • Prior to the interview, Talent Acquisition will conduct a full employee general record review. This will include, but is not limited to: sick leave and attendance records, personnel file review and letters on file.

In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
