The gears in your brain are always churning up game-changing, innovative ideas, and you’ve got the project management expertise to design comprehensive plans that bring your grand ideas to life.  You’re a natural leader who can engage stakeholders, coordinate efforts across departments and empower your partners so that every project phase goes off without a hitch. With your skillset and experience, you’d fit right in as our Program Manager, Technology & Market Development.

Joining our Conservations and Energy Management department, you’ll design, develop and execute pilots projects and transition them into full-scale energy efficiency programs in order to advance pre-commercial natural gas demand-side management (DSM) technologies.

You’ve set the gold standard for delivering multi-stakeholder projects on time, on budget and within scope because you proactively identify project barriers and creative solutions to overcome challenges along the way. You’re drive and dedication to constantly push the boundaries for what’s possible is what truly makes your ideas shine, and we know you’ll translate that energy into shaping the future of energy efficiency for our customers.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop rapport and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Expand knowledge of innovative DSM technology solutions, becoming familiar with our customer base and strategic vision.
  • Identify, prioritize, and advance new innovative technology solutions to reduce natural gas consumption.
  • Meet challenges head-on, determining necessary participants for decisions, and effectively executing, documenting, and communicating changes.
  • Fine-tune the development cycle to increase participation and customer satisfaction, while streamlining operations within program terms, conditions, and internal quality standards.
  • Become an industry expert by developing extensive networks with market actors to drive the adoption of DSM innovative technologies.
  • Spearhead efficiencies to improve the execution of current and future projects, identifying and advancing new natural gas DSM technologies in the market.

What it takes:

  • A degree in business, engineering or related discipline from a recognized program, plus a minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
  • Experience in project or construction management.
  • Possession of Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designations is advantageous.
  • Experience in delivering and communicating DSM programs, as well as working within a regulated utility, is highly desirable.
  • A proven track record in designing and delivering successful multi-stakeholder projects on time, budget and within scope.
  • Excels in both leading teams and working independently to successfully execute projects.

In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.

Our engaging workplace offers a wide range of challenging opportunities, while being safe, inclusive and diverse. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, while supporting life-long career development. We also encourage volunteerism and nourish the need to give back to your community.
