Position Overview
You’re a passionate leader who values building strong, trusting relationships. As a strategic thinker, you influence audiences and business areas with your expertise, providing impactful learning opportunities for talent growth and development. You care about people and their success, identifying specific needs and solutions to support their professional and leadership development.
Your passion for developing others makes you the ideal candidate for our Manager, People Development. Your guidance will evolve our employees from onboarding through career milestones, cultivating talent and fostering opportunities for advancement. As a trusted business partner, you’ll collaborate with leaders to build a skilled and resilient workforce, identifying skill gaps and implementing learning solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Support and develop a high performing team of people development advisors through regular coaching and feedback practices.
- Build relationships with business leaders across the organization to support talent planning for our workforce and business needs.
- Support our people development through existing and newly formed processes and initiatives as part of our strategic initiative of building an inclusive, resilient and skilled workforce.
- Support modernized learning and learning technology initiatives.
- Guide, oversee and facilitate leadership development programs for emerging and frontline leaders.
What it takes:
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or adult education.
- A minimum 4-years’ experience within Human Resources and Learning and Development
- A strong understanding in adult education, instructional design, development principles and practices.
- A natural ability to build and influence relationships across the organizations at all levels.
In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
