Position Overview

You are a future-focused professional passionate about accelerating the shift to low-carbon transportation. With a solid understanding of fleet operations, energy solutions, and sustainability goals, you play a key role in advancing the adoption of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) as transportation fuels. You identify opportunities and work directly with fleets, transit agencies, and commercial vehicle operators—focusing on business development, customer engagement, and fleet solutions consulting to support their transition to cost-effective, low-carbon alternatives.

Whether you're negotiating long-term fuel agreements, representing FortisBC at industry events, or contributing to strategic internal initiatives, you bring a forward-looking mindset and a strong commitment to ensuring FortisBC remains the leading partner in fleet decarbonization through natural gas fuels.

In this role, you will:

As a Manager, Fleet Transition Solutions, reporting to the Director, Low Carbon Transportation, you will:

  • Drive the adoption of CNG and RNG in commercial transportation fleets through strategic business development, consulting, and customer education.
  • Develop tailored low-carbon fuel solutions by building strong customer relationships, securing long-term fuel agreements, and designing fleet transition plans with TCO, emissions, and logistics considerations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and represent FortisBC at industry events to align infrastructure development, ensure regulatory compliance, and strengthen the company’s role in fleet decarbonization.
  • Lead and grow a results-driven team of account managers and fleet advisors to accelerate customer adoption and retention across key transportation sectors including logistics, transit, municipal, and refuse.
  • Elevate FortisBC’s industry leadership by advancing its reputation as the trusted partner for low-carbon fuel solutions through strategic outreach, thought leadership, and public engagement.
  • Advance and adapt fleet transition strategies by integrating market intelligence, customer insights, and evolving policy landscapes to support emissions reduction, business growth, and long-term customer success.

What it takes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the energy or fleet industry with a background in business development, project management, engineering, or customer strategy.
  • Valid BC Driver’s License and ability to travel within BC.
  • Experience with medium/heavy-duty fleet operations is an asset

In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.

Our engaging workplace offers a wide range of challenging opportunities, while being safe, inclusive and diverse. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, while supporting life-long career development. We also encourage volunteerism and nourish the need to give back to your community.
