In this role, you will:
- Perform assignments under the supervision of a professional engineer
- Work with various stakeholders including EIT coordinators, managers and also employees specializing in Engineering, Asset Planning, PMO, System Capacity Planning, Operations, and Pipeline Integrity.
- Prepare plans, designs, calculations, costs and bills of material, catalogues in accordance with established codes, standards, drawings and other specifications
- Be responsible for ensure project timelines are met
- Solving problems using established processes, resources and standards
- You will gain experience and training through rotational opportunities that range in six months to one year per rotation
- Opportunities may take you to difference locations within the province
- Each rotating opportunity will increase in complexity allowing to meet acceptable engineering work experience requirements
What it takes:
- Mechanical Engineering degree preferred, however Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, and Electrical Engineering degrees will also be taken into consideration
- Eligible for registration as an Engineer-In-Training with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (or other provincial equivalent).
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Skilled in the use of computer equipment and application including spreadsheets, database and word processing
- Personable and works well with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to communicate and present in a clear and efficient manner
- Strong ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environment
- Natural ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited University
- Previous engineering co-op experience is preferred
- Valid BC Class 5 (or other provincial equivalent) Drivers License with a clean driving record.
