Position Overview
You’re a collaborator at heart with a zest for supporting technical applications to improve the functionality for all of its users. Your leadership style drives inclusiveness, leading to collaborative and progressive conversations through your ability to communicate with a diverse team of employees at multiple locations across our organization. Above all, you are a strategic thinker who thrives on meeting business objectives through effective planning, budgeting, design, testing, and training, making you a perfect candidate for our IS Applications Support Manager.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing functional and technical leadership to Procurement, Logistics, Measurement Services and other designated business areas to ensure our customers receive maximum value from enterprise applications. As part of the application support team, your leadership skills will support strategic business planning, project management, systems sustainment, and issue resolution.
In year 1, you will:
- Become familiar with applications supported by the SAP Supply Chain team.
- Focus on understanding the areas supported by each team member to support employee engagement.
- Understand the projects on the various technology roadmaps of our various business units.
In year 2, you will:
- Suggest innovations and new technology solutions supporting the objectives of our business units.
- Collaborate with other areas within the Information Systems (IS) department and the company to achieve our objectives.
What it takes:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline.
- Eight to 12 years IS experience in an application functional support or leadership role.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in SAP ECC Logistics Modules (Materials Management (MM), Plant Maintenance (PM), Sales & Distribution(SD) and IS-Utility Device Management modules) and other applications or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to provide timely and transparent information.
- Ability to multi-task and manage various projects at the same time.
In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
