Position Overview

Join FortisBC as a Fleet Operations Supervisor and play a key role in managing the data, processes, and financial controls that drive our fleet operations. Bring your expertise in SAP, strong analytical skills, and ability to lead projects to help us deliver safe, reliable, and sustainable fleet services.

 

In this role, you’ll oversee operational data integrity, financial processing, asset management, and documentation activities that support effective fleet operations across the company. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure fleet financial analysis, reporting, and administrative workflows are delivered accurately, consistently, and in alignment with regulatory and corporate standards.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee daily fleet operations by ensuring asset data, documentation, and system records are consistently updated and accurate.
  • Manage fleet financial operations by monitoring budgets, preparing financial summaries, overseeing invoice validation, journal entries, reconciliations, and accurate cost allocations.
  • Manage fleet systems and reporting by auditing data for accuracy and compliance, while developing dashboards and reports.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to manage documentation, billing, service requests, and asset administration.
  • Promote efficient utilization and responsible resource management to enhance standards, consistency, and accountability across the fleet.
  • Ensure fleet operations comply with NSC, CVSE, OH&S, Transport Canada regulations, and corporate policies.
  • Lead continuous improvement by recommending enhancements to workflows, financial reporting tools, and operational processes.

What it takes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, operations management, supply chain, information systems, or a related field.
  • Four (4) years of relevant experience in fleet operations, financial administration, logistics, asset management, or SAP-based operational environments.
  • Strong proficiency with SAP (FI/CO, PM, or MM modules) is required.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and align team performance with organizational strategies.
  • Skilled in business analysis, planning, and preparing complex operational and financial reports.
  • Experienced in coaching, mentoring, and supporting staff development.
  • Builds and maintains productive working relationships through clear verbal and written communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced analytical expertise in SAP, asset management workflows, and financial processes.
  • Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license.

In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
