The ideal candidate will ensure strong collaboration with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and timely execution.
In this role, you will:
- Assess contractor work performance, including quality, safety, and workload management while taking corrective actions as necessary
- Participate in meetings with contractors to provide feedback and problem solve issues
- Provide input on planning construction projects
- Lead investigations on contractor crew incidents
- Review and approve invoices
- Participate in constructability and estimate reviews
- Develop subject matter expert knowledge in one or more areas of field construction and utilize that knowledge to support the AMI project and the PMO team (I.E. meter exchange, PE fusion, welding, confined space, directional drilling, GWFM etc.)
What it takes:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or Diploma of Technology in a related discipline from a recognized program
- 4-7 years of solid construction experience in a leadership capacity or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience, preferably in a utility
- Must hold a valid Class 5 driver's license
- Excellent team player with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely
In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
