This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, brings strong leadership skills, and is passionate about delivering meaningful, customer‑centric communications.

In this role, you’ll act as a trusted partner to teams across the organization, providing strategic communications approaches that support organizational goals.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and develop communications strategies that advance business priorities and strengthen FortisBC’s corporate reputation.
  • You’ll develop clear, insight‑driven strategic communications briefs that support business objectives.
  • You’ll provide leadership and direction to ensure the strategies outlined in each brief are executed effectively.
  • You’ll guide teams in delivering innovative, unified communications solutions that meet the communications opportunity and support business objectives.
  • You’ll build strong relationships with internal business partners, offering guidance on communications opportunities and strategies, and responding proactively to emerging issues.

What it takes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum four years of relevant experience (a combination of education and experience may be considered).
  • Proven ability to develop creative, strategic, and proactive communications and social marketing initiatives.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and handle high‑volume workloads.

In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.

Our engaging workplace offers a wide range of challenging opportunities, while being safe, inclusive, and diverse. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, while supporting life-long career development. We also encourage volunteerism and nourish the need to give back to your community.
