Position Overview


You are a master of workflows, and you know how to do research, gather data and develop new ideas, especially for programs related to the commercial and industrial sectors. You are at your best when you collaborate and can harness others' insights to produce tangible process improvements and remarkable results. To top it all off, you are passionate about protecting our planet and are eager to apply your skills to a job that takes meaningful action in promoting sustainability, energy efficiency and conservation for the commercial and industrial sectors.

You will support our Residential and Program Operations teams by driving and collaborating on our conservation and energy efficiency program development efforts. We want you to also utilize your customer-centric vision to simplify the customer experience and leverage customer insights to improve the reach and satisfaction with our programs.

We have set ourselves apart with our 30BY30 commitment to reduce our customer's overall greenhouse gas emissions by 30 per cent by the year 2030, and we need your help to get there.

In this role, you will:


As our Commercial & Industrial, Program Specialist, you will:

  • Build rapport with external and internal program partners and offer support as their industry expert.
  • Initiate, plan and execute program changes to adapt to changing regulatory, policy and energy efficiency requirements.
  • Develop and implement a strategy to further advance market adoption of energy efficiency measures in the commercial and industrial buildings.
  • Work with key stakeholders and external stakeholders to stay informed on customer needs, pain points, opportunities and escalations.
  • Develop industry-leading energy efficiency programs to help commercial and industrial customers reduce their energy and greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Work closely with Energy Solutions, Technical Solutions Managers, other internal and external stakeholders to stay informed on customer needs, pain points, opportunities and escalations.
  • Establish proactive communication and maintenance of program, including taking on key development tasks
  • Develop and maintain program forecast numbers and coordinate year-end evaluation with Evaluation, Measurement &Verification (EM&V) team

  • Exceptional organizational and project management skillset.
  • Ability to work independently and with partners in a fast-paced environment with complex processes.
  • Confident analytical skills and able to confidently make decisions based on facts and data
  • A 'get it done right' and 'can do' perspective that fosters strengthened relationships through every engagement.

Additional Information


  • This position is located in Surrey or Kelowna, B.C.
  • This position will require some travel away from the base office to within the geographic area of coverage.
