Position Overview

As our Program Specialist, you’ll put your expertise to work by identifying leading-edge technologies to support our business objectives and bring them to life. You’ll be responsible for supporting the future of natural gas by designing and executing research and pilot activities in collaboration with our internal and external stakeholders.

In this role, you will:
- Develop effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, such as Procurement and Legal, as well as local municipalities and industry associations.
- Expand your knowledge and understanding of the latest in Demand Side Management (DSM) technology solutions, the characteristics of our customer base and our strategic vision.
- Identify, prioritize and advance new innovative technology solutions that have significant opportunities to reduce energy consumption.
- Prioritize the development cycle and effectively execute initiatives to increase participation, drive customer satisfaction and streamline operations for our DSM programs.
- Develop extensive networks with our market actors and drive the adoption of DSM innovative technologies.
- Identify new natural gas DSM technologies and lead their advancement in the market.
What it takes:
- A diploma or degree in a related discipline, such as business, plus a minimum of five years of relevant experience with demonstrated success.
- A Project Management Professional or Certified Energy Manager designation is considered an asset.
- Solid technical knowledge of natural gas technologies, such as gas heat pumps and hybrid heating systems.
- Exceptional organizational abilities with a knack for juggling multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- A team-player who thrives on collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Additional Information
This position will require some travel away from the base office to within the geographic area of coverage.
In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
