  • Be involved in the design and drafting of the different standards for overhead and underground lines
  • Perform multiple site visits to better understand the Transmission and Distribution system when making changes to the construction standards
  • Provide technical support and work with the Operations team
  • Research technical information on new utility products and practices
  • Network with other utilities


  • You’re enrolled in the third or fourth year of an electrical engineering program
  • You have a valid driver’s license
  • You have a passion for the energy industry and the utility world
  • You have a knack for public speaking
  • You get your points and messages across with ease and respect so you can work harmoniously with a variety of people
  • You know the ins and outs of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • You know how to VBA and/or other scripting language
  • You have experience using AutoCAD.

Additional Information

Preference is for students that are available for an 8 month term (September 2022 to May 2023). Applicants that are only available 4 months may be considered.
