Position Overview
Are you passionate about driving excellence and innovation? We’re seeking a results-driven professional in our Conservation & Energy Management department (C&EM) to elevate performance and efficiency across our operations. In this dynamic role, you are responsible to lead and drive strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency and optimize operational processes.
This role involves streamlining workflows and delivering data-driven insights through forecasting and evaluation models. You’ll monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), manage procurement activities to ensure value and compliance, and collaborate across teams to implement innovative solutions that boost organizational effectiveness.

In this role, you will:
- Business Performance & Process Optimization
- Oversee the execution of key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to monitor and enhance business operations.
- Lead process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and optimizing performance across all C&EM functions.
- Analyze business performance data to identify trends and areas for strategic development.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation throughout the team.
- Program & Evaluation Management
- Direct the evaluation team in designing and implementing frameworks that measure the effectiveness of C&EM programs.
- Develop and manage annual program schedules, ensuring timely execution of initiatives.
- Lead Demand Side Management (DSM) program development and oversee special projects as needed.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide leadership and direction to staff including managing hiring, setting performance expectations, performance reviews, training and mentoring.
- Manage and lead cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and promoting team collaboration.
- Serve as a strategic liaison, communicating regularly with senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external partners to support C&EM program success.
What it takes:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, marketing, or equivalent from a recognized program plus a minimum of five (5) years of recent and related experience with demonstrated success in business process management, performance management, or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.
- Experience in the energy, energy efficiency or utilities sector is an asset.
- Proven experience in leading and managing cross functional teams, with a track record of driving business performance improvements.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in business performance management tools and software including MS Office.
- Knowledge of the principles of demand side management and energy efficiency programs.
In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
