Position Overview
You’re a numbers guru with a gift for analyzing statistics and data down to the decimal points. You’re also highly detail-oriented and pride yourself on translating complex financial data into actionable solutions to improve business objectives. Your exceptional multi-tasking skills and technical expertise make you a great candidate for our Business Performance and Finance Analyst role.
In this role, you’ll support the coordination, development, implementation and execution of all financial, metrics and regulatory matters for our Customer Service department. You’ll also provide expert analysis and recommendations to support the success of our overall business objectives.
In this role, you will:
- Familiarize yourself with our contact centre and billing operations.
- Support the business and financial performance manager in monthly budget variance reporting and departmental metrics.
- Perform ad hoc analysis on regulatory and financial matters related to the Customer Service department.
- Help cost centre managers with their monthly budget variance reporting.
- Support the Business & Financial Performance Manager with our annual regulatory processes
- Support the annual budget creation cycle.
What it takes:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline from an accredited post secondary instituion.
- Minimum of three (3) years of recent, related experience in a financial or analytical role.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of SAP) software.
- Knowledge of PowerBI is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with various groups.
- Experience in a utility, regulated industry, or customer service environment is an asset but not required.
In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
