With extensive experience and expertise, our legal and regulatory teams provide advice and oversight to our business units and operations, according to various provincial and federal governing bodies such as the BC Utilities Commission.

You’re confident, knowledgeable and analytical. Our lawyers and support staff provide legal advice and more for such things as:

  • joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions
  • insurance and litigation
  • Indigenous
  • tax, securities and trademarks
  • contracts (including service contracts, gas supply contracts, leases and purchasing contracts)
  • environmental, marketing, employment and labour
  • intellectual and real property

Regulatory affairs

When you join this team, you’ll support our operating groups, business units and senior management in achieving their goals in accordance with the BC Utilities Commission’s mandates. You’ll also have the responsibility of managing tariffs and developing rate design structures that ensure ratepayers receive reliable, non-discriminatory energy services at fair rates.
