SAP Analyst - Finance

Position Overview

Are you detailed-oriented and analytical beyond belief? Are you a technical guru and love working with financial systems? Does the word “SAP” get you excited?


We want to hear from you! Join the FortisBC family and be part of our Enterprise Application Support & Delivery team.


As the SAP Analyst, you will support our financial systems and find ways to improve our financial processes. You will implement and configure SAP solutions while leading functional and technical initiatives. You will also push forward enhancement projects and take over tasks of our general ERP update and modernisation.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the Finance Department in day-to-day tasks and month-end closing
  • Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements
  • Implement solutions to streamline processes and system enhancments

To get you started, you will:

  • Gain a strong understanding of our financial processes while looking for ways to improve them
  • Support financial month-end closing tasks
  • Support ongoing and upcoming projects

As a deeper dive, you will:

  • Lead functional and technical activities for SAP related projects
  • Engage in general ERP updates and improvements

What it takes:

  • Strong knowledge in accounting processes and practices
  • Understanding of financial processes (Billing, Collections, Dunning (BRF an asset), General Ledger, Payments and EDI processing), Batch Job Handling
  • Ability to communicate clearly and in a timely manner
  • Ability to build strong partnerships
  • Incredible analytical skills and a great knack for project managing
  • Experience in Supporting SAP System FICO and/or FICA, Experience Configuring SAP Systems GL/AP/AR/AA
  • BPC desired
  • S/4 HANA Knowledge is an asset
