Position Overview
You’re passionate about helping employees reach their full potential through training and development and you have the experience using best practices and technology to deliver effective training programs. You lead by example and know how to set -up your team for success by growing your suite of training programs and empowering your team to ensure your internal customers only receive the best. We need your unique skills and background in our Instructional Delivery Manager role.
In this role, you’ll lead a team of trainers, training coordinators, and learning management administrators to plan and deliver technical and trades training, manage and communicate training requirements, and track and report on training compliance and competency.
In this role, you will:
- Support the evolution of a high performing training delivery team who are aligned to our corporate values.
- Drive the ongoing development of business processes to sustain and enhance the Learning Management System platform for the Company.
- Establish relationships with key stakeholders to proactively identify future training requirements and develop appropriate training implementation and delivery plans
- Support the implementation of technology for training delivery.
- Provide professional development opportunities for our full- and part-time trainer pool
- Make recommendations for improvement of the training portfolio based on ongoing evaluation of offerings.
What it takes:
- A diploma or degree in a relevant field, plus a minimum of three years of experience leading in an L&D environment. Experience leading unionized personnel an asset.
- Proven leadership skills to foster a supportive team environment and motivate team members to excel at delivering training to internal customers.
- Exceptional organization and strategic-thinking skills, managing programming of training across the Company, including classroom and virtual instructor-led training, eLearning, and blended solutions.
- A demonstrated ability to plan and execute training schedules to ensure training compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with learning management systems an asset.
- Experience in instructional design an asset.
