Position Overview

Our Mt. Hayes LNG facility is located on Vancouver Island between Ladysmith and Nanaimo, BC.

Our Mt. Hayes LNG Plant on Vancouver Island has exciting opportunities for 4th Class or higher Power Engineers with plant operating experience to join our team.


Don’t have LNG experience? Not a problem! We’ll train you on all you need to know about Liquefied Natural Gas – after all, we’ve been working with it safely for over 40 years. The LNG Plant Operator 1 will be responsible for the safe and efficient operations of our LNG Plant.  You will be responsible for operations of a wide variety of equipment such as LNG storage tanks, pumps, and more.  

What it takes:

All applicants must possess a minimum of a 4th Class Power Engineering certificate with high school/GED completion and experience in plant operations.  Experience working in a gas processing plant is a bonus! 


All successful candidates will be required to complete pre-employment verification, including, but not limited to, drug testing, physical assessment, reference checks and a criminal record check.  Proof of qualifications and a record of a recent driver’s abstract from the last 5 years will be required.
