Position Overview

Do you love problem solving and have the investigative mind of a detective?  Are you enthusiastic, versatile, and looking for an opportunity to showcase your accounting skills?  That’s very impressive, but what sets you apart is your attention to detail as you can follow processes with tactical precision and identify the tiniest cracks in the most ironclad of protocols. 


It sounds like you are the perfect match for our Financial Accounting Clerk 3 role. As part of our Finance and Accounting department, you will process daily bank transactions and reconcile various bank accounts for our company and subsidiaries.


You strike the right balance when tackling competing deadlines thanks to your expert time management skills, enabling you to get the job is done right for your clients. In year 1, you will:

  • Become the subject matter expert on bank transactions and bank reconciliations.
  • Work with other members of the finance team to identify areas for process improvements.

In year 2, you will:

  • Enhance your financial analysis abilities, based on knowledge of the business you’ve gained in the first year.
  • Contribute to the implementation of process improvements based on your findings.

What it takes:

  • A  Certificate in Accounting or Finance from a recognized accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Experience working in an intermediate accounting role, including preparation of account reconciliations and other analysis.
  • Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to use professional judgment when investigating reconciliation variances and unusual transactions. 
  • Excellent time management skills for handling several daily tasks driven by internal and external deadlines.
  • Strong attention-to-detail to mitigate errors and when conducting self-reviews.
