We’re looking for new talent to join us as we reinvent the future of energy. Across BC, we have a diverse team of more than 2,400 employees we can’t do without, yet we’re growing as fast as ever.

You may think we’re your standard utility that delivers natural gas and electricity, but we’re also into cool, innovative energy solutions. Think carbon capture, renewable energies and lower-carbon transportation for a start. We believe in creating a cleaner, healthier tomorrow.

If you like meaningful work, a dynamic environment and forward-thinking colleagues, build your career with us. You’ll get opportunities to grow, lead, solve, and create. So what are you waiting for? Let’s rethink energy together.

Position Overview

The recent expansion of our Tilbury Liquefied Natural Gas plant is complete, and now, we need your Plant Millwright expertise to help us keep the facility running smoothly.

Never worked with LNG before? Not a problem! We’ll train you on all you need to know about Liquefied Natural Gas – after all, we’ve been working with it safely for over 40 years.

As our Plant Millwright, you will be responsible for ensuring that our operations are safe, reliable, and efficient.  Your ability to troubleshoot and problem solve will ensure that all our equipment such as LNG storage tanks, pumps, compressors, and more will run optimally and accurately. To keep you on your toes, our equipment ranges from old to new, so your ability to adapt to ever changing processes and technology will come in handy.

Being a FortisBC employee not only means a great working environment, but excellent benefits, defined benefit pension, and spectacular time off!  Don’t you want to work for us now?

All applicants must possess a BC Provincial or Inter-Provincial Heavy Duty Mechanic, Millwright, Mechanic, Pipefitter, or Machinist certification, high school/GED completion and experience in plant maintenance.

All successful candidates will be required to complete pre-employment verification, including, but not limited to, drug testing, physical assessment, reference checks and a criminal record check.  Proof of qualifications and a record of a recent driver’s abstract from the last 5 years will be required.
